Frank H. Willard is the Chief Executive Officer and owner of Cornerstone Behavioral Healthcare, LLC. He graduated in 1998 from the University of Maine in Orono with a BA in History and a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. In October of 2000, he received his Certified Public Accountant’s license from the State of Maine. Frank has worked for several small accounting firms in the Greater Bangor area. In 2001, he joined PROTEA Behavioral Health Services (BHS) where he served as the organization’s Senior Accountant, Controller, and then Chief Financial Officer. In 2006, he helped with the sale of PROTEA BHS to a large non-profit healthcare organization located in Southern Maine. In 2008, after working several years at the PROTEA Division of Sweetser, he and Donna Ruble organized Cornerstone Behavioral Healthcare in Waterville and Bangor, which now provides services statewide.

Sharon Jordan earned her Master’s in Social Work in 1991 from the University of Maine in Orono. She serves on the Maine Statewide Quality Improvement Council and is an advocate for the community. Sharon has been part of Cornerstone since 2013 in the capacity of Program Manager for case management services. In 2022, she became Clinical Director and continues to lead in this position. She currently resides in the Bangor area where she enjoys camping and spending time with her family.

My name is Stephanie Welling. I grew up in Ohio and moved to Maine in 2012 to advance my professional career. I hold a Masters, Bachelors, and two Associates degrees. I worked as a case manager prior to becoming a licensed therapist (LCPC) and still hold on to my MHRT-C. I started at Cornerstone in 2014 as an intern; in 2019 I became the Waterville Case Management Supervisor, and then worked my way up to Program Manager of the Outpatient Therapy department in 2022. As a therapist, I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. As a person, I love sports, traveling, and various genres of music.

Tanya Francis graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a Master’s in Education and Mental Health Counseling. Tanya has been providing case management services and intake coordination within the community with Wabanaki for thirteen years and with Cornerstone since 2013. She is currently the Program Manager for Adult Case Management with Cornerstone. When she is not serving in her community, you can find Tanya spending time with her family, camping, crocheting, going on long walks and hikes, and being outside in nature.

Ashlee Gould is our Medical Records and Quality Assurance Supervisor. She was born and raised in Maine, where she attended Beal University. From Beal University, she obtained 3 Associates Degrees – Health Information Technology (2011), Medical Administration (2013), and Medical Assisting (2015). In 2020 she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Southern New Hampshire University, where she also joined the National Society of Leadership and Success. For fun, Ashlee enjoys spending time with her dogs (and Bunny), going on adventures, and spending time outdoors.

My name is Sherry Briggs and I have been with Cornerstone Behavioral Healthcare for 10-plus years starting as a Quality Assurance Auditor. I was soon promoted to Supervisor of Medical Records/ Quality Assurance in 2017. In 2018, I became Supervisor of Facilities & IT support and currently hold this position among many other small jobs for Cornerstone. I have an AAS in Business Management and I continue to broaden my IT knowledge through online classes. My family originates from the northern tip of Aroostook County, but I was born in Connecticut. At the age of 5, we moved back to Maine and I have lived in the Central Maine area most of my life. I
enjoy walking in the woods and back country roads, driving to remote beautiful places in Maine, and snowshoeing when we have enough snow. I am a widowed animal lover and currently have 7 cats that I often refer to as my fur babies. Yes, I am the crazy cat lady!

Jeanne has been with Cornerstone since 2008, a former Protea BHS employee; she followed Frank Willard & Donna Ruble to Cornerstone. With 18 years of Medical Billing experience, a solid background in Customer Service, Accounts Receivables /Collections plus a rapport gained from working with an Affiliate Network she helped lay down the foundation of the new company’s billing department. As Cornerstone grew so did her department and she fostered a team spirit with the other departments supporting Cornerstone in its mission. Retiring as Billing Supervisor in 2015 for health reasons, she welcomed the opportunity to remain a part of Cornerstone by stepping up to the Chair position for the Policies and Procedures Committee. She grew up in the Damariscotta area, graduated from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle Maine, and now lives in Orono. An avid reader & puzzler, she is enjoying retirement, spending time with family & friends, and her weekly meeting with colleagues offering support and humor.

Carole has been with Cornerstone for seven years in various capacities, ranging from Billing Tech, QA Tech, QA Supervisor, and currently Case Management Liaison. She works exclusively with the Wabanaki Case Management Team, processing incoming paperwork, annually auditing client charts, and supporting the Case Managers. Carole is also the Copy Format Editor for Cornerstone; creating and revising both In-House and Affiliate forms available in various formats. Carole grew up in Milo, Maine, and graduated from Penquis Valley High in 1997. In 2009, she graduated from Northeast Technical Institute with a major in Medical Transcription. She is an avid reader and enjoys music. She also heads up the “Senior Friends” ministry at the church she attends. Her passion is art, working primarily in watercolor and pencil out of her home studio, as well as family, friends, and encouraging others.

Amanda Burton grew up in Milford, ME. After graduating from Old Town High School in 1999, she moved to Florida and New Hampshire, before settling back in Maine with her husband and two children in 2008. In October 2010, she received her Associate’s degree in Art from Axia College of the University of Phoenix. Amanda joined Cornerstone’s team in May of 2009 as a Medical Records Technician and Accounts Payable Clerk. After a couple of years, she was promoted to Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator and is currently the Payroll, Benefits & Accounts Payable Coordinator. She enjoys music, camping, and Jeeping out in the Maine woods with her friends and family.

Raenicha Johnson grew up in Nashville, TN, and moved to Bangor, ME with her husband and two children in 2008. She attended Berea College in Berea, KY where she majored in Vocal Performance and, in 2021, became certified as a Human Resources Consultant. She is further pursuing her education in Human Resources Management. She enjoys music (especially gospel), serving as worship leader at the church she attends, walking, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Raenicha joined the Cornerstone team in 2017 as a Quality Assurance Technician. She has worked her way through the ranks as Medical Records and Quality Assurance Supervisor and is currently operating as Human Resources Coordinator. Raenicha enjoys working with people and helping in any way that she can.

Donna M. Ruble, LCPC, was the Executive Director and Co-owner of Cornerstone Behavioral Healthcare. She graduated from Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont with a BA in Human Services, and a minor in Administration. Her Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee was an MS in Educational Psychology in Community Counseling. She completed additional post-graduate work in Trauma. She holds an active Advanced Practice Social Worker License in the State of Wisconsin, as well as holding her license as a Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maine. Donna has had extensive training working with at-risk adolescents, foster and adoptive care, fire-setting assessments, and trauma-related care. Her background includes administrative, supervisory, and clinical positions with other agencies in both Wisconsin and Maine. Prior to obtaining her clinical licenses, Donna attended Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, and Thomas College in Waterville, Maine for Business and Accounting. We want to thank Donna for all her hard work over the years to make Cornerstone Behavioral Healthcare the comprehensive agency it is today.
